Seems like a good price. Fabric.com's quality is generally good in my experience, but can be hit or miss. I am usually happy with my purchases. I have been bitten by the "make pants make pants make pants" bug. And I found an online fabric store that I'd never heard of before Koshtex.com that was selling "stretch bengaline" in the US. So I got some. I didn't get any ponte b/c I didn't see any that wasn't heavy in the petroleum by-product. I knew there was something about ponte I needed to know and it's rayon! thanks!!Claire R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09937988030390654215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4920875739028519515.post-56177617428714609832012-04-23T06:20:29.552-07:002012-04-23T06:20:29.552-07:00I'm with you on the bra sewing. So I decided to take a pass on that particular sewing discipline, at least for now. One mistake I have made many times with ponte is to try to use it in patterns that require more than the tiniest bit of stretch. Some day I will learn that it doesn't stretch much at all, and if I'm using a pattern that requires stretch, I'd better make a larger size.Virginia at A Sewing Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15734911883557993627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4920875739028519515.post-24499959842401904762012-04-23T05:42:30.614-07:002012-04-23T05:42:30.614-07:00Thanks for the info on bra making. I keep fantasizing that one day I can make one that will successfully support my gals..

I couldn't agree more on the Ponte issues. I love EOS pontes also. Hancock's Pontes have pilled the worst for me. I like Marci Tilton's Pontes also.

I like the music - versatile musicians. My DD normally plays sax and electric guitar (and occasionally piano ). She has lumbar spine fractures and is currently talking about taking up the ukulele, as her sax and heavy guitar are challenging to play in her torso brace. It looks like a fun instrument to play.Andreahttp://satinbirddesigns.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4920875739028519515.post-24574505553849492032012-04-22T15:03:57.054-07:002012-04-22T15:03:57.054-07:00Thanks for the great Ponte info, very helpful.
