I have been very busy not sewing. I have a big deadline at work, and when I'm not working, I've been helping DD2 prepare for her big trip. She just got her last shot (for Yellow Fever) and is quaffing her typhoid meds. She's started her blog. This blogging mama is quite proud. ;)
I have sewing plans, but no current projects. I also have a new (to me) machine, but more about that later!

Oh Oh OH! You know that saying of "feeling my heart leap"... well that is how I felt when I saw my name under the stripey zippers! I am delighted to be so lucky!! Thank you Shams for your generosity, and I will be having so much fun planning out what sort of garment will best showcase those stripes. (hmmmm, do I go with the trend and try a moto jacket, or head off in some yet unknown direction...)
