Fall Vogues have Dropped - and on sale!

Vogue 1312

The fall Vogues are out! And the BMV sale is on through the end of the day so hurry hurry!

For me, the most notable pattern is Lynn Mizono's dress. It's the "Tablecloth skirt" in dress form! Yay! This was her original design, and I'm glad she's made it available.

I just ordered a few sale patterns, so I will wait for now. But go check them out! Marcy Tilton, Katherine Tilton, and Sandra Betzina all have new offerings.

I have some demands on my finances, so I've decided to sell a few things. In fact, I just posted my first ebay sale ever. If you are interested, check out the Blue Nuno Silk and Merino Wool Felted Jacket.

  1. I think it's great that your artistic sense of fashion is timeless enough to turn you a few dollars when you need them. That's a great jacket. Keep 'em coming!

  2. Good luck on selling the jacket-it's really pretty. I saw the Vogues, and there are many that I like. The Donna Karan dress with side insets (1313) jumped into my cart. The Issey Miyake car coat is wonderful too. ahhh, so many patterns to play with-life is good.

  4. As soon as I saw that pattern, I thought of you and the wonderful tablecloth skirt (that I've made at least 3 X now).

  5. Thanks for the heads up on the Vogues, but...holy 70s and 80s! What are they thinking? At least they still have their "art to wear" designers for us to drool over. Although, I have to admit to getting the pattern for that "pimp-a-licious" fur vest!

  9. I took advantage of the sale yesterday as well and had exactly the same response to the photos. What were they thinking? I don't need an editorial photo shoot here; I want to see a garment on a reasonably normal body in a real life position. Vogue missed the boat on this one.

  10. My new vogues (only 3) arrived this week-the Mizono being one of them. Just had to say you were so "right on target" with your reverse engineering of the pattern. As I looked at the instruction sheet, I was so impressed with your capabilities of giving us the pattern with your TB skirt. Well, I'm generally impressed with all your capabilities in your wonderful sewing!
